Write the Vision Clearly
Habakkuk 2:2
God tells us to write down the vision. This means we should clearly write what God wants us to do so we can keep seeing it and remember it.
When you understand your vision, you can run with it and not get confused when problems come.
Understanding the vision helps us stay strong and enjoy the good that comes from following it.
We Are the Light of the World
Matthew 5:14–16
As members of The Lighted Church, God has made us the light of the world. Light cannot be hidden.
Our lives are meant to help others see God better.
The way we live, the way we talk, and the things we do should make people want to know Jesus.
We are not supposed to hide our light. We must go into the world and shine so that others can be helped and blessed.
Our Vision
Lighting the people to light the world through the knowledge of Jesus Christ
This means we help people know Jesus, and when they know Him, they also help light up the world.
Jesus Is Our Example
Jesus came as the Light of the world. He was just one person, but His life touched many people.
Everyone who met Him and was helped by Him told others about Him, and that is how the whole world came to know about Jesus.
Jesus shone His light so well that people who were blessed could not keep quiet.
We Also Carry Light
This is what God expects from us as members of The Lighted Church.
Before we shine, we must first know that we have light inside us. It does not matter if it feels small or big—light is still light.
At home, in school, in our communities, and everywhere we go, we carry God’s light.
We must allow that light to shine.
Like a Candle, We Must Shine
A candle was made to give light. It cannot decide not to shine.
In the same way, we are made to shine no matter what we are going through.
Even when things are hard, our job is still to shine.
What Does Light Mean?
Being light means we are blessings to others.
Blessing does not always mean giving money or gifts.
We shine our light when we:
Make someone smile
Speak kind words
Bring peace into a troubled place
Show love when others are hurting
Even a simple smile can change someone’s day.
We must not let our problems stop us from shining.
We Are Not Ordinary
We are not here just to exist.
We are here to change lives.
God has already put inside us everything we need to bless others.
Most of what we need is spiritual, and it comes from God.
We must always remember this.
Stay Connected to Jesus
For our light to shine brightly, we must stay connected to Jesus.
When we are close to Him, our light will surely shine.
Challenges Cannot Turn Off Our Light
Hard times should not make our light go dim.
God uses our challenges to show His glory.
When we overcome difficulties, we have a story to share that can help someone else.
That story becomes light for another person.
We Shine Christ’s Light
Matthew 5:14
Jesus has shared His light with us so we can light up the world.
We represent Him here on earth.
As we enjoy God’s blessing this year—REHOBOTH—our lives will help others grow, succeed, and become fruitful too.
